Over the years we have been involved in casting some major arts projects. Not only one off’s, we also cast regular pieces for artists Australia wide.
We were heavily involved in the Federation Field of Bells project in 2001. Casting more than 2000 hand held bells of 2 kilograms to bells of over 1000 kilograms in weight, some are now located at Birrarung Marr, where you can compose your own tune online http://federationbells.com.au/.
“Life to Life” in Bridgetown, Western Australia, which stands over 5 metres tall for Fredrick White.
The Australian Imperial Force General Service badge (Rising Sun) on the Australian Corps Memorial Park, Le Hamel, France for DCG Design.
Renowned sculptor, Julie Squires for the life size memorial sculpture to motoring icon Peter Brock erected in and opened at the 2008 Bathurst 1000. The bronze horse sculpture located at Mordialloc Beach, Bronze Coolamon’s, The Gathering Garden, Alice Springs, Whales, Net and Canoes at Kamay Botany Bay National Park, Kurnell NSW in 2020.
Projects for the Queensland University of Brisbane include General Sir Jonn Monash and Lieutenant Colonel Vivian Bullwinkel, both located at the War Memorial in Canberra and a Light Horseman statue, located in Guildford WA.
In 2022, Stevens Vaughn, commissioned an oversized Throne which was displayed at Lorne Sculpture Biennale Vic.
Billmans has also proudly worked with Sculpture Co. to produce Aunty Kim Wandin “iuk bagurrk gunga” , in 2023, located at the National Gallery of Victoria, Murrup Biik “Bilang Biik” , 2023, located in South Yarra Vic. https://www.sculptureco.net/
