Since its humble beginnings in 1980 Billman’s Foundry has undertaken many restoration jobs.
One such job was undertaken on behalf of the Daylesford and Glenlyon Shire Council, the restoration of their Wills Street fountain. The remains of this fountain arrived looking like a pile of rubble (pictured below), the task appearing mammoth.
At the same time an 80-year-old fountain of similar size and style from Swan Hill was sent to Billman’s for recasting. It was decided to utilise the existing similar pieces from the Swan Hill fountain and restore the signature decoration of mermaids and scrolls of the Daylesford equivalent.
Other restorations include Wagga Fountain, Bendigo’s Bazzani’s Restaurant Balcony, Cast Iron light columns for Tamworth , Maryborough streetscape work – Bollards, Fountain in Rosalind Park, cascades project and verandah posts etc to many private homes.
